“This poster serves as both a tribute and a reworking of Ed Ruscha’s original work “Year After Year.” It’s a wordplay experiment displaying how removing one word can alter and preserve a phrase at the same time.

By folding the poster so that “after” disappears, it transforms a written phrase into a visual fact—where “year” is literally after “year.” Dissecting and cutting it down turns this into something that makes no sense and also perfect sense.

While I could have used my own phrase or statement to overthink, I found something intriguing in discovering a hidden opportunity for wordplay within something of his - especially since language is also at the forefront of what he does.” — Nick Ceglia
